The Casa Suiza was started by Heidi Stacher who started to rent rooms in her own house in 1970 in Huancayo, a nice valley in the Peruvian Andes. Her goal was to go on keeping in touch with the people that came from Europe ; offer them our house, and strive to ensure that they treat our place as their own home. Several years later, in 1980, she moved to Huanchaco, a cute beach village, very close to Trujillo, and decided to keep on providing the same service to travelers. Since then travelers call our house: Heidi's House. (As shown in some travel guide-books). We are very proud of our house and its well designed plan. It also makes your stay more enjoyable. In 2005, Mrs.
Stacher passed away, Casa Suiza was partially closed for a while. Finally
in July 2007, Philippe Faucon took over what has been celebrated as one of
the best budget inns in Huanchaco.
